Christ the Redeemer ( Cristo Redentor ) statue , atop Corcovado ( hunchback ) Mountain, a peak 2,330 feet high.


From the summit one can see all of Rio – Guanabara Bay, Niteroi Bridge, Sugar Loaf, the south zone encompassing the Jockey Club, Botanical Garden and, of course, the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and white beaches.

The statue stands 125 feet tall and weighs 1,145 tons. This is the most beautiful monument that we have in Rio the Janeiro. We can go to the top by train and also you can have a beautiful forest view from the train.
